How Veeam Software improved sales using Docebo LMS

• 2 min read

Since installing the Docebo SaaS eLearning platform, the Swiss-based global IT and software company Veeam Software (read about the company here) has seen more than 50,000 of its business partners access online training related to its products. The results? Over 10,000 partners have achieved professional certification and more than 95% of those certified partners state that courseware helped them to improve knowledge and ability to sell.

Old LMS: hosted, costly, inflexible

With approximately 1,250 employees around the world; and with offices in Switzerland, Paris, USA, and Australia, Veeam Global Education Services had been using a mix of self-hosted LMS solutions, which had to be supported by its own employees. Also, the internal LMS had additional issues; namely, it was accessible only via VPN connection, which wasn’t feasible for everyone. Veeam needed a much more flexible API that could be utilized from both PHP and .NET platforms. And finally, the look and feel of the customer’s existing LMS solutions didn’t match their corporate style guide, requiring significant customization (and time/ resources).

Problem solved!

With Docebo, since the entire LMS is based on CSS, Veeam was able to modify appearance of some blocks without any changes to LMS code at all.

Functionality, scalability and productivity were issues that only a SaaS solution addressed – and the Docebo SaaS LMS beat competing LMSs in terms of functionality, extensibility, cost, documentation, and market share.

In fact, Docebo solved all of Veeam’s issues (listed above) and more – for example, the project brought an unexpected benefit in that Veeam was able to identify a lot of outdated and unused courses in the old LMS, so the process was able to improve the quality of internal education overall.
