Drupal integrates with Docebo to unleash its training potential!

• 2 min read

Drupal and Docebo integrationDrupal is one of the most well-known CMSs in the world. We have recently released an integration between the Docebo LMS and Drupal. In this post we go over how you can unleash the training potential of your site by leveraging this integration!

Let’s start at the beginning… what is a CMS?

A CMS or Content Management System, is basically a software that helps people to create blogs and websites without any programming skills. These systems are usually based on a main dashboard that allows people to write content, add images and links, and publish following very simple steps.

In the past few years CMSs have become very popular and extremely well developed; it is now possible to buy or download themes which can boost your website appearance and make it look professional. Not to mention the increasing number of plugins and add-ons that can push your website functions to do virtually anything.

In this scenario we find Drupal, one of the most used CMSs in the world. Launched in 2001, this PHP based framework was born as an open source tool, supported and developed by its own community, rather than by a company.

As with most of CMSs, with Drupal it is possible to create a user base of people with specific interests, such as employees of a company or college students for example. Through the website it is possible to collect subscribers and start building a community.

Enter the elearning platform…

In a world where training makes the difference between success and failure, an integration between Drupal and an elearning platform is an extremely powerful and efficient training tool. This is why we have developed an integration between our LMS platform and Drupal.

Thanks to this integration you can import Drupal users and enable the Single Sign On (SSO) between the two apps. You can also enable a Drupal block to easily show users courses they’re enrolled in within the platform. With this simple app it is now possible to turn any Drupal website into a fully functional training tool.

What can Docebo for Drupal do?

To sum up, it is possible to:

  • Embed online courses on your Drupal website and assign training by using the Drupal dashboard
  • Access courses and training reports, plus control the whole elearning project directly from the Drupal dashboard
  • Display courses assigned to logged-in users by using a Drupal widget
  • Import in Docebo the Drupal users-database
  • Enable the SSO between Drupal and Docebo

If you’d like to check this out in action, you can download the Drupal plug-in for Docebo from Docebo.com, or by using your Drupal administration area.
