Object : import users and courses
Hi everybody,

Few questionsfor you, I will try to write them clearly.

import users:
  1. I would like to import a lot of users in docebo and, that's very good, there is an import possibility. But is there any csv template to follow?
  2. I have an excel file with all data I need by users but all fields in my xls file are not inserted yet in docebo. The importation create automaticaly extra field or I have to create extra field before or, the software don't care about extra fields? (Of course, I will export my file to csv.....)

import courses:
  1. I have an other excel file (yes I like excel :) ) with all courses title plus some small informations (date, max students....) is it possible to import the list instead of write and set them one by one?
Thx for your software (very usefull) and I hope that you have good news for me......

Anakal

PS: I have another question and a bug to write but the topic didn't match so I'm going to create the other one juste after

Hi, then:

You don't have to follow any template but you have to predefine and associate to the users extra field before importing CSV.
When you upload CSV files you will be asked where every column in CSV must be associated with defined field. You can also decide to NOT associate (and then not import) a specific column

Regarding the second question is not possible to import dinamically from CSV files a course list.

For more complex activities please check also the I/O module (input output module)

Sorry but I dont have I/O Task, only:
- configuration

- publ flow

Is there an I/O Task in the 3.5?

Other question,

I still use the 3.0.6, so I cannot manage with the I/O of the 3.5. But, for the extra field, the courses and the groups, can I use SQL script like:

INSERT INTO core_group VALUES etc.....

or do you realise some cros check with other table in the software.

PS: I'm interresting with those tables: core_group, learning_course and core_field

Thx
