DoceboLMS  (E-Learning) module for Drupal 7.x (Download attachment)

This module is a bridge between Drupal and DoceboLMS, the open source e-learning platform.
It is in early development stage and at this time can be considered a proof-of-concept. Cannot be used yet.
Once finished this module will provide:
  • single sign on between Drupal and Docebo LMS
  • user synchronization between the two platforms
  • a "my courses" list block for Drupal
  • a Drupal block for search the Docebo Content library objects
How it works:

When a user login in Drupal, if this module is enabled and configured, the user will be automatically logged in also in Docebo, using single sign on.
Any new user available on Drupal will be available on Docebo and vice-versa. At the same way editing a user in Drupal will also have it updated in Docebo. We are still evaluating which data can be kept in sync automatically, for example details like the user password, that can't be read as plain text, won't be automatically changed.

This project is considered "official" but at the same time "external" to Docebo so this means that anyone who can help us in developing it and/or keeping it up-to-date will be able to join and get the opportunity to directly commit updates to the project svn repository (that will be made available soon). Drupal experts are welcome!

Does the api allow for all of this already? I'm considering loooking at docebo as an option if the api can support the integration that we would require with a drupal site. Do you have plans to extend the api?

I would like to collaborate with other developers who are interested in developing this integration further but it would rely on upon your cooperation if work needs to be done on the api :)

Hello,
yes.. there is still room for improvement but the version you can now find on the download area does all that you mentioned.

It is the first release of the module so consider it "beta"; of course you are welcome to join the project to extend / improve the module. Do you have some experience with drupal code?

From our side we are planning to extend the api, of course if you'll have requests that are too specific we may not be able to implement them for you, but if your request could be useful for other users and / or modules we'll consider them for sure.

bye,
Giovanni.

Hi, can you please specify what kind of API you need (more than that already supported?)
We are extending api in this direction
  • For Magento integration e-commerce api (for example to subscribe an user that acquired subscription from Magento
  • For more usability an api that will show only courses I need to complete or only courses that had updates since last user login
  • Api that will shoew from course content library query a specific output

This is interesting.  Will the final API also integrate with Wordpress?

I have a number of clients that use .net based systems and in particular DotNetNuke and we do a similar thing between DNN and other LMS'  using SAML.

I would be interested in knowing if the api is only between PHP based systems of can it be expanded for cover .net systesm?

Also what is the method for passing the authentication.

API are made to work with all environments independently from the technolgy (thatt's why they are API)
In this forum you will see the list of applications that we are integrating. Right now the second application is magento commerce

Hi, i've installed version 7.2 of drupal and trying to integrate docebo. Actually there is very little working. I see part of the module completly commented out like the hook 'docebo_user_login' (at least this is what is on GIT). does the integration actually work or it's just a work in progress?

Object : Re: Drupal integration [Official module]

I have a problem with Drupal integration. I have installed the synchronization module in Drupal according to the instruction. After that I create an account in Drupal, but the account in Docebo is not created. I see the link “My Courses” in Drupal. After clicking on the link I get to the Docebo authorization page. As far as I understand it is supposed to be Single Sign On. I try to login anyway, but it doesn’t work. There is no such account in Docebo.  It looks like there's no synchronization at all. Help me to solve this problem. Thank you in advance.
