I really think the use of Ajax will accelarate the loading of data and editing. My only doubt will be on how easy it will be to template or change the area (theme) for the student's interface now that it will be more ajaxed. |

I have a few observations/recommendations on the configuration area. 1) When a User chooses a Web site address, the freedom should be to the level of the directory/folder names identified for the installation needed for application as well. The application should ask for a directory and may use generic names for sub-directories (not every directory is named as DOCEBO<lms/core/cms or whatever>. This allows a web admin to make changes to the Appache configuration more adaptive. Also, such an installation is more elagent and professionally organized. 2) I tried to adjust my appache configuration (v3.6) to a directory one level further so that the URL does not look long. It was not a job I could accomplish. The main reason was that folder/directory references were not constants/globals/parameters to that level. It required code changes very deep down and I was not very sure to attempt. I personally feel the folder names should be as close to the names used by Apache or Linux or any of such popular tools - namely - bin, conf, include, ...etc. 3) A session name should be based on the domain where a product is running not of the product name. I get a feeling that when a user connects to two sites that are running DOCEBO product, we might have issues. Just my understanding of the installed code on a cursory reading. Please do feel free to correct me. 4) I have a few thoughts that various sub-systems (LMS, PORTAL and CMS) may be run on different sub-domains and they all connect to the same data base. Please do let me know, if there are clarifications/questions on my above suggestions. I would be very glad to further interact. Thanks, Best Regards |

About the other points: 1 - you'll have to upgrade to docebo 3.6.0.3 first and then using the upgrader from 3.6 to 4.0; we suggest you to first try the whole process in a test environment (a copy of your production environment). 2 - I'm not sure that I've fully understood your point; anyway in docebo 4 the Admin should work as in previous version afaik 4 - this is planned to be released on a future 4.x version 5 - this is planned too, but I can't tell for sure the way it will be implemented. bye, Docebo Staff |

Will it erase content/courses already loaded in 3.6 if upgraded? 2 A: Admin role should be able to create sub-admins that can register users and see the registrations without being assigned to a group. Is this possible in 4.0? 2 B: It would help to have permissions as the administrator to create additional admins or sub-admins with optional permissions to view everything except configuration. Example: When configuring Docebo for a client, the developer acts as the Administrator and should be the only person with access to configuration settings. However currently, in Docebo 3.6 if the Administrator (developer) configures Docebo for a client and provides the client with Admin access, the client's employees assigned to Admin role could tinker with configuration and corrupt the entire installation. Is there a fix to build a hierarchy where a single Admin can give sub-admins permissions to view all users/registrations, without giving the sub-admins access to view/edit configuration settings? Thanks again ![]() |

If so how can you start a meeting? I've logged in as an instructor and superadmin and could not schedule a video conf. 2nd Question: I see in the BETA login screen its powered by Docebo Enterprise Edition, will 4.0 be free as previous versions? or will there be a fee for download and use in the near future/future? Thanks looking forward to the other language versions. Mimi |
