Hello - I see the new "course editions" functionality is working.  Does anyone have some documentation on how to use it?  My assumption, and this is what I want to do with it, is that I can create a master course and then make editions of it to register different groups of people to.  Is that right?  

I am able to make an edition of a course, but I don't see how to edit the master so that it pushes out in the editions.

at this moment there is not very much documentation about editions, anyway you're right, they let you to have different groups of users that could have different forums and so on.

Please be careful to do not delete an edition if you don't have installed the latest patch because this causes some problems as it deletes too much (some is required) data.

About your last question, when you edit the master course you can push the main information to its editions, but not all course details are "sent" to the editions, so you'll eventually have to edit them by hand.

Thank you for the patch.  I still don't see how to edit the master course before making editions of it.  I can't assign users to the master course which would be required to get into it to add learning objects.

in fact you can't  do it. You should create at least one edition and then add users to that one.
