Object : Problems with SCORM that works fine with Moodle
We have been provided with some SCORM that works correctly in Moodle, but that does not work in Docebo, neither in 3.0.5 version neither in the latest 3.6.3. The provider says the fault is in the Docebo code so we should don't use it. Can any body probe if they have problems with them or if there is any solution?.

When we probed them in 3.0.5 version, the provider tell us that in the imsmanifest.xml every lesson or sco has an attribute called "parameters" (as defined in SCORM 1.2) and Docebo was not understanding it.

Now in 3.6.3 version what we found is that the SCORM load the vertical tree, but all the webpages appears as "not found". We have seen than in Moodle it loads the scorm with this way: "document.htm?COURSE=..." but in the Docebo system, it loads ""document.htmCOURSE=..." as if the "?" symbol dissapeared.

Any advice? If we can't get this working we will be forced to works with Moodle, although we prefer your system.

You can download two zip examples packedn in a rar from: http://www.newmidian.com/scorm/scorm.rar

Thanks all the Team and Community!!!

You can contact me also at esoler () newmidian . com

Hello,
thanks for your feedback; we are going to have a look to the sample  package you provided and we will let you know.. it should work with version 3.6 so we'll have a look to the manifest of your object to see if there are some problems in our code.

bye,
Giovanni.

Hello, can anybody answer me?

It's three weeks since I posted this and Giovanni said you were going to have a look to the sample and let us know.
We have a lot of people waiting to start some courses and we have not changed to Moodle waiting to your answer.
We have also sent you one email and until today we have not get any answer.

Can you tell us anything? If possible, good news.

Thanks

Ernesto Soler

Giovanni, we have tried and it seems it works "worst". Now we have the same "404" error in other course from the same provider where we did not get the "404" error, we get a page with the format of the course provider saying:"the were a problem initilizing the page. The course is not defined". Both works fine in Moodle.

Did you get working the examples I attached with the patch you attached?.

Thanks

Ernesto Soler.

Hello, can anybody answer me?
I've trusted in your platform and since more than one month ago, nobody in Docebo has given a valid solution or at least confirm you have make that SCORM working fine, or which is the reason Docebo can not play this "SCORM Compatible" content.

Is really Docebo SCORM 1.2 compliant or not?

I'm available to email or chat to make some tests, but nobody has answered my emails or contacted me. I have stopped a lot of people
start some courses waiting for your answer. I hope you can understand me.

Well, after getting blammed again and again for not giving solutions for your Docebo installation, we have finnally installed Moodle and configured the acccess to the actual users.

I'm very upset with the Support you give in this Forum.

Hello,
I'm sorry about this. The fix I've attached to you worked for us according to the samples you provided and from the description of the problem that we were able to simulate and then to fix. Unfortunately your problem was specific to the way your scorm content were made and we have not encountered this problem on any other installation of customers nor this were not reported by other users. For sure we will look into your bug report, even if you don't need it anymore, but at this time we are more focused on the upcoming 4 beta release and also please keep in mind that this forum is not the place where to ask for support (directly) to docebo; this is a community driven support and discussion forum for the docebo platform where docebo's staff members or, at the same way, users of the community, can give their help; for other kind of requests docebo also offers dedicated support to its customers.

bye,
Giovanni.

Hello,

the proved sample packages are not scorm-1.2 conformant. In the imsmanifest.xml file, the item
elements have an attribute named "parameters" and the scos in the packages rely on this being
appended to their url as parameter. This attribute was introduced in scorm-2004.

These packages will not work in any really scorm-1.2 conformant system.

Regards,
Matthai
