I´m using Docebo 3.6.0.3.

When I go to "general settings" I can see "advanced template options" - but I´m anable to choose anything. I can only see "don´t choose this functionality" :-(.

What did I do wrong? Where can I change it?

hello,
you can choose the default template from the main settings.. the advanced settings are there to use in case you have some custom fields for the users and want them to have a determinated template as they register (but then they won't be able to change it anyway).

Yes, I know that I can set a "default" template in the main settings - no problem there!

I thought of giving different templates to teachers and students... (i.g. a green template for the group "teachers" and a blue one for the group "students", but I can only see: "Do not use this function" - there is no possibility to choose "Use this function!".

May it be, that I did somenthing wrong with my installation? I´ll give you a screenshot:

in order to use that function you have to define some custom fields for the users and then assign a value for students and another one for teachers..

You can add them from General > Users > Additional fields as a dropdown field.

Sorry, Giovanni, I don´t get the point...

I´ve already some custom fields (such as: date of birth, telefone number, address,...), but I don´t get the point what thats to do with the functionality for a template?!

Can you please describe what I have to do to be able to define a template for the group "students" an another for the group "teachers"..?

Hi All,

I create 2 different templates (standard and docebostandard) and use Advanced Template management (see screenshot). I implemented Node's custom field and NOT user's custom field.  So, that custom field "Country" is associated to Organization Node.

I then register a user with the country field as "Malaysia".

I then login as that user, no template change.

I implemented a User's custom field and tie the template to that User's custom field. The advanced template works!

But, unfortunately, although i make the Node's custom field and User's custom field to be the same. When a new user register the platform by filling in the Node's custom field, the user's custom field won't be able to accept the filled value. I have to login as admin and manually edit the user's custom field, in order to make the advanced template work. But, this is too manual. too bad..
