Note, docebo pre-beta is only in english, other 18 languages are in translation process, docebo pre-beta is not downloadable yet, will be downloadable the final beta.

If it`s possible please explain new features to make more ability of focus on problems . Now all of visible options just actuate to DoceboLMS new interfaces .

Hi Omid, nice to hear from you again

Docebo 4.0 have around 3.000 working hours on features customization, especially on administration area and "middle area", as middle area we consider the area where the student is before accessing courses but after login.

All the admin area is changed, from configuration area to function-role and competences, course subscription, fisical classroom module, assesment, also user selector is implemented in user management inteface and will be implemented fully before official release. Also we added new reports, new welcome page and new intefaces then probably you will find new features everywhere.

Ok ,
First it seems YUI HTML editor doesn`t have it`s regular format . I see it with irregular format in pages with Firefox .
Next I found that date picker in filter option of reports doesn`t work , again tested with Firefox .
And I got this error in preview of sample created certificate :

Also Public Administrator page doesn`t load and I got this error :
Fatal error: Class 'PublicadminmanagerAdmController' not found in /var/www/vhosts/docebo40.docebo.info/httpdocs/doceboCore/index.php on line 75

Looks great! :)
When logged in as a student I could not get any Results info (when clicking the Results icon after finishing a document/learning activity.

  1. I noticed that in the admin area (e-learning/Management course/Course) that when I copied a course the pop-up asks "Are you sure you want to delete this?" Nothing gets deleted but it is confusing. The dup option is GREAT!
  2. Once the course is copied, I couldn't move it anywhere. The categories and courses do not have a move option in 4.0.  This is a critical option to include.

you can use drag n drop to move course's categories while, to move a course to another category, you can edit the course and select the category from the dropdown menu.

Object : Dim Dim No Longer Compatible
Seems as though dimdim has done an upgrade and we can no longer create dimdim rooms.  I uploaded my dimdim user information to beta, created a dimdim room, and it goes through all enviroinmental checks, then opens a page that says, "no longer available" isntead of opening a dimdim meeting room.

When importing courses into a curriculum, the graphic icons do not appear.  Only the red "x" and a verbal description of the icon.

CSS coding observation, that is a potential issue and confusion for those restyling the application. The CSS files seems full of css properties  preceeded by an asterix (e.g., "*text-indent:20px;") which throw a large number of warning in my web debug tools.
I assume these are added to essentially remove unwanted CSS propeties during development. However since Docebo 6.3.0.4 has the same coding issues (added asterix on properties) these will problably not get cleaned up when version 4 is released.
A small tranish on an otherwise very nice peice of work.

FYI - There are some CSS errors : the "auto" for the padding parameter is not a valid options. Again seems to be a carry over error from the 6.3.0.4 version. This is an issue in several CSS files.

hi rudy,
thanks for your feedback. about the * at the beginning on the line, it is used for ie-only statements.. we kept in the same file for simplicty when editing but this gives error with validation tools; an option would be to keep all the code for ie compatibility in separate files, loaded only if the browser is ie, but I don't think we'll have this for the 4.0 release.

Thank you for clarifying. Maybe a quick fix for addressing the "*" in the CSS files is to simply add a short comment at the start of the file as a reminder for those of us who try to stay away from these so called "css hacks". Wink
