Object : CRON - Reports
Hello,

Can anybody expand on what the following exert from the manual actually means? Where or how do I carryout this function? I find that reports are fine to view or export but they don't actually get emailed to any users? Are they intended for internal messages or external email addresses? Please if possible give an example of a report periodically sent to a user so I can understand the whole process. Thankyou.

>>Scheduling of a report
This system allows you to schedule a report for sending periodic e-mail to other users, for each report, you can create scheduling and select one or more
users. You can also choose an item:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
To effectively use this feature, it is necessary to configure the server via a CRON operation or plan to call the file: http://nomsito/cron/cron.report.php<<

Hello,
did you setup a cron job on your server that runs the cron.report.php script file at pre-defined intervals?

bye,
Giovanni.

Hi,

Errh no I didn't so I will have a go at that today, however as my installation fails to send the reports with attachments (raised in previous thread) how will this help? Surely I will only get an email with no report attached.

Hello,
I've opened a bug about the missing attachments on the other thread and I'll keep you up to date about it.

bye,
Giovanni.
