Object : Portuguese Translation for Docebo 3.6.0.4
Hello

I will publish the translation on this thread as soon as I have it ready (probably just a few more days).

But I need some help with a few items which I don't have any reference (at least I didn't find any):

- There are 18 terms under “framework&rg_report” that were empty or nonexistent in the files I have.

If someone could shed some light on this, would be very helpful. I could use any file already translated into any of the following: English, Spanish, Italian. I can understand any of these languages so any of these would do perfectly.

Thanks in advance.

You mean that also in other italian, english or spanish files these rows are also empty?

Hi Claudio

This is weird... Here's what I did:

Initially I though it would be simpler to start with the already existent Brazilian-Portuguese translation and simply correct it, so I exported it from the online platform and re-imported it back into the platform as Portuguese (pt-pt). I started working on it but I run into several difficulties.

One being the session time, which I had to increase by a fair amount of time. Another being the fact that my connection to the web hasn't been too reliable these last months (neither has the host, being a free host just for testing purposes). Lastly the Brazilian translation wasn't such a good one as I was expecting, meaning that, even though there are differences between the languages, these would be easily compiled... except there were so many mistakes and misinterpretations that it is taking me the same amount of time to correct it (if not more) it as it would to translate it from scratch.

So I thought it would be a bit easier to export the whole thing again, and find a good XML editor and do the main bit of work on my PC before going for the last corrections that might be needed given the context (which is possible thanks to the function Docebo has: language editing). I did find a good open source XML editor: Syntext Serna. I have been working with it and tested it without issues.

Now the difference appears here: the files exported do have the rows I mentioned, while in the ones that come with the Docebo download (I found them inside the folder: "(root)/xml_language"), the rows don't even exist (actually the module “rg_report” does not exist at all). I'm pretty sure I didn’t install any extensions other than most (if not all) of the patches recommended, so I'm at a loss here.

And yes, I checked all the Italian, English and Spanish files.

Best regards
Jo Morg

 3 days and no reply?!
OK... should I just leave them blank and complete the rest of the translation without those entries?
Any thoughts on this would help.
Thanks in advance.

hello,
this is a community based forum so there is no time granted for replies while of course we try to follow all topics constantly..

anyway, the extra translations you've found could be from previous version of docebo if you went through updates.

bye,
Giovanni.

I didn't do any upgrades... unless the Brasilian-Portuguese files I'm using as a starting point have been put through the update process before being uploaded....

So you're saing I can disregard these entries?
