Save time and organize your learning content with a central learning object repository

• 2 min read

You can now keep all your learning objects in one easy place with a central repository

With the latest update to the Docebo LMS, we’re simplifying the way you can organize and store learning objects with a new central learning object repository that allows you to store all your learning objects in one easily searchable library. With this new tool, all of your course content is streamlined and accessible in just a few clicks.

The central learning object repository simplifies managing thousands of pieces of training material by allowing you to:

  • Manage all of your learning objects in one centralized location
  • Seamlessly publish a learning object into multiple courses
  • Edit a learning object and automatically push the updated learning object to replace the old version within courses
  • Use different versions of a learning object in different courses

When searching for a learning object, the title field offers suggestions as you type, so you don’t have to search an exact file name.

Updating learning objects can be a daunting task, particularly in compliance scenarios. Normally, you would have to update the material, then search for any instance that material was used and update it within the course. With potentially thousands of learning objects spread across hundreds of courses, mistakes are easy to make. The Central Learning Object Repository fixes this potential problem.

Now, new or updated learning objects can replace old materials with just a few clicks. Whether you choose to package your learning objects with SCORM, AICC or xAPI doesn’t matter. Docebo can recognize and unpack any of these standards and automatically populate your central learning object repository.

Let us show you the central learning object repository in action – our team would be happy to custom tailor a live demonstration of everything that’s new in Docebo 6.9.
