How Docebo 7.7 Helps You Amplify Digital Learning Experiences to Produce Better Learning Outcomes

• 6 min read

AI suggestions and course enrolments, a new way to get even more out of the Go.Learn Mobile App, plus much more.

Are we approaching new technology with the wrong question?

To understand how technology will change the way people learn for the better, we must reflect as to how technology is changing the way we live.

Instead of asking “how do I do what I do with this new technology?” the focus must be on “how does this new technology enable me to do what I could never do before?”

Personalized learning is one area of learning and development (L&D) that, until now, has been limited (and cumbersome) because the technology required to do it in an effective and meaningful way hasn’t been there.

The demand for personalization is real.

And the technology to make it happen is ever evolving – and what was once maybe believed impossible in the enterprise learning space is now very much possible.

But, this is the beginning of an evolution that will be never-ending but also endlessly improving.

In October 2018, Docebo went all-in on Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the ultimate goal of producing completely personalized and automated learning experiences for learners, while enabling L&D admins with the intelligence and functionalities necessary to make it happen.

In our 7.5 release, we introduced you to AI-powered search to deepen search results and make learning content easier to find; Auto Tagging, which identifies key phrases in learning content to create tags and categorize content automatically (producing more accurate search results); and Invite-to-Watch, which elevates the social learning experience by suggesting which learners will get the most value out of user-generated content, making it simple to share resources with peers.

Today, we are one step closer to the personalized and automated learning experiences both learners and admins desire so deeply.

With Docebo 7.7, we are extending the reach of our Artificial Intelligence into automated content suggestions and course enrollment to support personalized learning paths for every learner – across our entire learning platform, including Docebo Learn (LMS) and Docebo Coach & Share. Plus, we’ve introduced a new way to get even more out of the Docebo Go.Learn mobile app to keep employees, partners and customers aligned to your brand – beyond the desktop.

This release packs a major punch, building off the success of our most recent releases, including Artificial Intelligence and My Team (7.5), and Course Management (7.6), and the award-winning Docebo mobile app Go.Learn, with a particular focus on improving the user experience for both administrators and learners to produce more effective learning outcomes.

Lucky 7’s

While personalized learning powered by our new AI content suggestions and course recommendation is an extremely exciting development, we’ve got much more to share in this jam-packed release, designed to help your organization produce better learning experiences for both administrators and learners that generate more effective learning outcomes.

Support personalized learning paths for every learner

Docebo’s 7.7 release introduces three new suggestion features powered by Artificial Intelligence, available to all users (learners, admins, managers), including:

Enrollment Suggestions for Admins. Docebo’s AI automatically produces a list of learners for a particular course during the enrolment process, reducing the time needed to search for users who will benefit most from a specific course.

Formal Content Suggestions for Managers. Managers can see suggestions for courses in which they should enroll their team members from the My Team area of the platform, allowing them to take the learning progress of their teams into their own hands without waiting on Admin intervention.

Next Content Suggestions for Learners. For those using Coach & Share in Docebo, learners can take advantage of content suggestions that their peers are contributing in the platform, so they see the latest content to stay relevant and up-to-speed.

Maximize Brand Identity in Your Mobile Learning Activities

Docebo is introducing its first-to-market Mobile App Publisher, which allows your organization to make mobile learning your own with a branded version of the award-winning Go.Learn mobile app.

Better yet, you can publish the app as your organization’s own on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to better reflect your corporate identity within your mobile learning activities – all without the help of a third party app developer.

This feature allows you to customize your app’s name and images as well as the parameters used for Google Single Sign-On. You can also choose which platform you will connect your mobile app with, so learners don’t need to insert their platform URL when logging into the app.

You can also publish an app for each of your subdomains, for those using Docebo’s Multidomain (Extended Enterprise). Additionally, manage your activity in the app stores by customizing the look and feel of your app’s presentation page according to your company’s design guidelines.

Reduce the time it takes to get training programs up and running

Docebo’s new Course Management function makes it easier (and faster) for admins to get their training programs off the ground by making it possible to divide manual, but necessary, work among different admins, perform course enrollment in massive actions, assign courses into learning plans or catalogs to sell content.

Most importantly, we’ve optimized the way you manage programs in your platform by pulling actions into a single area to streamline the way you manage your formal learning activities.

Monitor employee learning progress and compliance requirements with Observation Checklists

Docebo 7.7 introduces a new way to stay organized and aligned with what your workforce is doing each and every day with an at-a-glance Observation Checklist.

This new productivity tool allows admins and managers to observe and document learner progress, compliance processes, or job-related tasks in a quick-to-configure checklist format.

Checklist items can be triggered by specific events or scheduled for completion.

Test a few new features without a sandbox platform

Docebo’s innovative beta mechanism, called DoceLab allows administrators to test out some of the  new Docebo features and products, assess whether they will work for you and your learners, and provide us with feedback on what you’d like to see next.

The best part: these new features (for now, Course Management and Observation Checklists) are available for testing without any risks to production data loss.

Docebo Pages limit extended from 200 to 1,000

The limit to the amount of Pages (total number of built-in, widget and external link pages) in your platform is now 1,000, up from 200, meaning that you can create more pages and more individualized menus for the different groups of users in your platform.

DKIM support for email notifications

Ensure emails sent from your platform are trusted by your company’s email server.

The DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) method validates your learning platform domain name identity associated with the email messages sent by the platform so that they will not end up in a recipient’s junk email folder.

Updates to the Docebo LinkedIn Learning integration

Filter content by language, plus configure how imported courses are played: in a new window, LinkedIn Learning portal, or Docebo course player.

The Language filtering option is available to filter courses according to their language both from the LinkedIn course catalog and from the LinkedIn area in the Marketplace.

Wire transfers for learning content purchases

Manage e-commerce processes without constraints related to setting up and managing payment gateways, such as currency or country compliance, to extend the range of supported means of payment with an offline payment type.

Activating wire transfers in the Docebo E-Commerce module enables users to pay for learning content they purchase with a bank transaction, untying them from online payment restrictions.
