Docebo’s new Playlist feature helps support learning as it actually happens
Your learning management system should be able to support learning as it actually happens.
What makes Docebo different is our approach to learning: learning does not happen by exclusively completing assigned formal courses or attending classroom lectures. These two modalities tend to disrupt a learner’s workflow and aren’t effective when it comes to knowledge retention.
In real life, learning happens through interactions with experts and peers, collaborative work, and through experiences that happen organically. Docebo supports all these learning modalities through a few different features and functionalities, including our Coach and Share apps.
Introducing User-Generated Playlists
As part of our recent release (Docebo 7.0), we’ve added yet another way to encourage social learning among your learners.
In Docebo, learners can contribute and access learning assets of any kind using thematic channels, where formal learning assets (such as SCORM learning objects) and informal ones (such as user-contributed videos or PDFs) are made available, depending on topic and teams, for the entire organization.
Docebo 7.0 promotes learner-centricity in a number of ways, and one functionality that stacks up is Playlists.
A playlist is a collection of learning assets that learners can create for a variety of purposes. For instance, you can create a playlist made of videos and documents that you want to keep and watch for later, or collect assets that relate to a specific job to be done.Better yet, you can share playlists with others. Playlists help to promote learner autonomy and increase social learning opportunities, allowing for more effective learning programs overall.
