Some interesting challenges arose in 2011, and not a moment too soon. In an organization where pharmaceutical compliance is paramount, Purdue was faced with an outdated online training platform that could no longer handle everyday demands.
“When I joined [Purdue] in 2011, all our evaluations were paper-based,” said Mihai Csaki, senior trainer for the company’s Health Solutions division. “I looked at the LMS and realized it was too basic. I had to correct over 2,200 questions and evaluations in my first three months of activity – impossible.”

Mihai and the team reached a point where learning at Purdue was limited because they’d simply reached the technological limitations of the existing LMS. So, they started asking questions.
To start, Purdue Pharma Canada needed an LMS that could integrate with the company’s HR system to automatically maintain the user database based on actions taken within the HR system. This, along with single sign-on, simplifies the onboarding process for new hires who previously had to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
