The Ux-files: eCommerce in Docebo Learning Platform

• 2 min read

The design principles behind the e-Commerce feature of Docebo’s catalog

In the second of three installations of Andrea Biraghi’s Ux-files, we continue to peak behind the curtain of the principles underlying the platform. Drawing again on ‘common UX patterns’, Andrea takes us through the decisions involved in crafting an intuitive, streamlined learning experience.

In this video we move deeper inside the catalog, to the optional e-commerce portal. We get a glimpse of the various ways to group and display courses and/or learning plans, and the various learning assets the platform supports. We also see the power this feature enables for both internal and external use.

Andrea explains how each specific step of the process is carefully and painstakingly crafted in order to create a seamless journey from browsing to purchasing to learning. Carefully blending simplicity with customizability. Once again, deeper than what many of us may realize first hand, the user is always at the very heart of his design process.

As Docebo’s Head of Design in Milan Italy, Andrea leads a team who fashion the look, feel and functionality of the platform from the ground up. A true tech creative, he has a wide ranging set of skills spanning a stirling career within the industry. Outside of work, Andrea focuses his attention to detail on cooking, fine cuisine, wines and travel.
