We Built This for Our Customers. Then We Decided to Build It for Ourselves.
Today, Docebo goes live on Docebo Skills Intelligence internally.
Every person at Docebo can now build a skills profile that goes beyond their job title, identify where they want to grow, find colleagues across the company by expertise, and explore real open roles.
We are calling it Customer Zero. And we think every company paying attention to the future of work should be asking themselves why they have not done the same.
The organizations that know what their people can do, really know, not in a spreadsheet that gets reviewed once a quarter, are already making faster decisions, filling roles internally, increasing employee retention through greater internal mobility, and moving when the business needs them to move.
The ones that do not are describing the same gaps they described last year.
Here is what we keep seeing. Most companies do not actually have data about their own skills. They are not clear about what exactly their own people are capable of. They are guessing. And most have gotten very comfortable making excuses for it. It is too hard. It takes too long. We move fast. Those excuses have a cost, and that cost is getting bigger.
Our own research, spanning more than 1,000 HR and L&D leaders across Europe and North America, makes this plain. 53% name AI literacy as their most critical skill gap right now. 45% percent say conflicting priorities are the single biggest barrier to closing it. Most organizations believe their foundation is stronger than it is. The taxonomy looks right. The system underneath it does not hold up.
Assuming means flying blind. And flying blind with your people does not end well.
Skills intelligence is infrastructure the whole business has to run on. And right now, most businesses are running without it.
Our people deserve the same investment we help our customers make in theirs. So we made it.
And we are going to share what we learn.
The organizations pulling ahead are not waiting for the taxonomy to be perfect. They are building a system that updates continuously, one where skills data connects to learning, to internal mobility, to real talent decisions, and they are letting it improve as it runs.
They are also measuring things that actually matter. Not training completions. Not skills declared. We have set three KPIs we will track at the 12-month mark: employee Net Promoter Score, internal mobility rate, and horizontal movement across job types.
We are publishing those numbers as we go. Because the companies that are serious about this do not hide from their own data.
The pace of change is not slowing down. The skills needed to do most jobs, not just technical ones, are shifting faster than most organizations can track. The companies building the infrastructure to stay ahead of that will have an advantage that compounds. The ones that keep guessing will keep falling behind.
We know that journey now. Not from a deck. From running it.
That is what Customer Zero means. And it starts today. 🪴
