The social learning model disrupts traditional models, puts learners on a path to success
Once upon a time, social learning value was not well understood and there was a very limited, narrow definition of how learning was executed, and how learners were taught. In this old model, instructors kept learning content heavily guarded, and knowledge was delivered in a top-down “push” manner, with learners at the receiving end of instructor-led, classroom-based training.
Then came along social and informal learning, a topic we have discussed extensively here at Docebo. This model led to a more organic vertical and lateral ecosystem of knowledge transfer, and by all indications has paid off.
Social learning value challenging to prove, but not elusive
So what’s it all about? We asked some Docebo staff to tell us a bit about the importance of social learning and here’s what they had to say.
